Grace's Birthday Tutu
Bret and I absolutely adore our niece, Grace Mead. She is the most beautiful little five year old, is really smart, and is incredibly entertaining. For her birthday this month, I decided to get my "craft on" and make her a birthday tutu. As I began to make it, experimenting as I went, the tutu gradually got bigger and bigger. By the time I finished, the tutu was a giant poof of pink and brown tulle. I figured that Grace, who follows the Stowell girl mold of being petite, would just drowned in it. But when we gave it to her on her birthday, she looked darling! Grace wore it while she opened her presents and had cake and ice-cream. When she finally stood up, the back of the tutu was folded up and made her look like a little turkey!
For anyone that wants to get their "craft on" and make a tutu, let me know and I can fill you in on some helpful tips that I've learned!

Nice job! So cute!! So crafty! I wish I could sew!!
Fill me in with some helpful hints. I'm making Olivia's first tutu soon.
Cute tutu...I'm impressed. I have no crafting-abilities. Ash told me that you got your Masters in Counseling! That's great, and I will need some advice. Where are you working right now? Were you working while you were in school? I'm just in my first semester right now - its a shock after being out of college for a few years :) Sounds like you guys are doing great! I love keeping up on your blog!
Love the tutu!!! I made one for Afton but it didn't turn out near as cute as yours. It was so fun hanging out with you guys the other night. We need to do it more!
Cherissa, I found your blog on Whitney's. I love all of your pics. Looks like you guys are always doing something exciting...Italy, Mexico...and now soon to be added to the blog, Las Vegas! Of course that will be the most exciting of the vacations!lol Fun hanging with you guys. Hope you didn't lose all of your money in the Casino Friday and Saturday nights! :-)
